Is there an equivalent right-click function for touch screen (iPad) so that I can add my boat location ?
I’ve just added in something that should detect iPhone/iPad and changes the right click functionality to the click/tap on those devices.
Let me know if it works for you.
That works, thanks.
One boat at Guernsey Yacht Club
You should be able to add your own boat, Charles. Right click (or tap on an iPad now) where your boat is located and fill in the form.
Will try from my PC as the Mac doesn’t have a right click unfortunately, unless you can work some magic ?!
I will speak to Dave and see if he can do anything for the Mac. In the meantime if you want to be added send your details using the CA contact form and I will add you on.
I do believe that holding Ctrl then clicking the mouse should give you a right click too.
Spoken to Dave and he says the following:
“You’re right, if using an Apple mouse then it’s ctrl-click I believe or if you’re using a tracker pad (which I use) it’s a click using two fingers together.”
Hopefully that should solve it for you :-).
I have no idea what my boat number is – as this was a boat directly shipped from Devoti, sail has no numbers whatsoever. Are registration numbers by country or by boat?
I would guess you are USA103 (as yours is the 3rd boat in the US). I will see if Suntouched/Devoti can confirm this.
Paul, yes, Devoti confirms that I am 103. Any chance you can modify the class association registry such that it does not automatically assume all registered boats are GBR registry? I’m sure the Germans and Italians would not mind either 🙂 That said, it will always be clear where the class centriod is, and.. I’m honored to be sailing a “UK” class 🙂
Leave it with me I will speak to the guy who did his for us.
I have spoken to the chap who wrote this for us and he has made some tweaks so future users can set their country code. He has also updated yours so you now show as USA 103 (you might need to clear your browser cache to show this, I did).
2 new entries for the Boat Register please…
