For 2019 the D-Zero class returns Yorkshire Dales SC which was the venue of the first inland championships back in 2015. The club always seems popular with sailors from all over the country journeying to compete at events held there. With a combination of a friendly club, a great clubhouse, usually good winds, stunning scenery and, of course, the underfloor heating in the changing rooms who can blame them.

That combined with an active and rapidly growing fleet in the north of the country the D-Zero class took the opportunity to come north and give them a big class event on their doorstep. Early indications show that the class should match the attendance levels of the events held at Grafham for the previous 2 years and possibly even exceed them.

The host club have suggested that we have the event earlier in the year as later in the year the reservoir levels can drop. Whilst this does not impact the sailing area too much it can make launching and recovery a bit of a pain. So this year we are heading there on the 27th/28th April 2019.  You can find the online entry page by clicking here. Entry on the day will be possible but we would prefer you to pre-enter the event so we can ensure everything is in place.

2018 Inland Champion Ben Flower has advised that he will not be defending his title so we will see a new name on the D-Zero Inland Trophy along with the right to run with the letter ‘I’ on your sail.

We are also finalising the details for an event sponsor, this will be announced separately.
