First weekend was at Snettisham with a good 14 knots on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. After a few rubbish starts, by the end of the weekend I was cooking on gas and got a couple of bullets and beating RS700’s on the water!

Ouse Amateur SC is a narrow canal with one of the fastest tides so my closest rival in an RS700, who is also a good sailor, did well to only capsize twice!

Next was Wells which is always interesting. Starting in about 20 knots and finishing in 30 we were dodging the sand banks but despite the capsize to windward the best bit was large close reach out to a mark and back again. Big smile in a D-Zero that one!

Blakeney the next day had a nice big course with the perfect breeze to make me the only one planing.

Burnham we found ourselves sailing down a very small river wondering where the racing would be when we were greeted by the wide open sea for perfect sailing! Despite some stupid mistakes that was some great sailing.

Friday at Hunstanton was light winds but the D-Zero flew beating all the Supernovas (with 3 min head start) and Streakers (6 min head start). Second race I was OCS and went back and as the wind died away it became a bit of a lottery. Saturday had no wind so all racing was abandoned. I would recommend Norfolk Week to anyone with a family as racing is early in the morning leaving you free to enjoy the Norfolk coast in the afternoon.
