Day 1 of the 2016 Suntouched D-Zero Nationals saw conditions that could only be decribed as epic. With a good F4 from the south west the fleet of 40 D-Zeros headed out in to Christchurch Bay for 2 races.

2 back to back races followed with some revelling and some struggling. 

None mastered the conditions more than Ian Morgan from Hill Head who won both races with reasonable margin followed in both by Gaz Henshall from Shotwick Lake SC. Iain Horlock from Exe SC completed the podium in race 1 with Steve Bolland coming 3rd in race 2.

After the welcome pint provided by Suntouched Sailboats the attention was turned to the results.

No surprise with Ian Morgan holding the overnight lead with Gaz second and Iain Horlock completing the overnight podium.
