Reduced Rig (Blue North Sail) - 1079 (RYA & GL 2026)
Sailor Weight Range:
Grey Rig – 60kg – 110kg+. There is no set upper or lower limits, though may overpower sailors if less than 60kg. Top 10 Sailors 2019 Nationals ranged 62kg to 106kg
Reduced Rig (Black) – 70kg and under. Designed by dzero.co.uk with Morgan Sails and NorthSails, to enable the use of the standard lower mast to reduce costs. Many D-Zero sailors only have the Grey rig, even those at the lighter end of the spectrum due to the ease of depowering the rig through cunningham, kicker and traveller, though the reduced rig helps the lighter sailors to further control the D-Zero.
Reduced Rig (Blue) - 60kg and under. This was the original Devoti reduced rig designed by Suntouched in a very bright blue laminate cloth, using a reduced length lower mast, and some sailors have had fantastic results in good winds.

buying a d-zero
The exclusive UK dealer / distributor for the Devoti Sailing D-Zero is DZERO.CO.UK aka Howwhatwhere Ltd, and they are based at Thornham Marina, Emsworth, down on the South Coast. David, the owner, races the D-Zero a lot and is always on the circuit, so knows the boat inside and out. They offer new and ex-demo boats, aswell as brokerage sales for owners, and a full parts chandlery from their Thornham office or online, and from his van at events.
New or potential D-Zero sailors can also arrange a demo sail at nearby Emsworth, and usually David or one of his team will sail alongside you or be very close by for hints n tips.
If D-Zero’s become available privately they usually appear on the Class Facebook site – The home of the D-Zero Class Association – Devoti Zero (d-zerosailing.org) or on Apolloduck, click here to go to the D-Zero page on their site.
D-Zero’s may also appear on the Facebook Dinghies and Dinghy Bits for Sale group, however DZERO.CO.UK will probably know what’s on offer and can help / advise as to your needs and budget.

So, You want to demo a D-zero ?
DZERO.CO.UK run a programme of demo events around the UK every year and also offer test sails near their offices at Emsworth (near Portsmouth) - David lends his own boat out he's that confident in the D-Zero and its quality !
(Don't sail into a propeller though, yes that has happened !)
To book a test sail simply complete the form on their website.
Also, we are very lucky with several owners around the UK offering a sail in their own personal boats (precious toys), as long as 1) you’re really careful, and 2) you break it, you pay for it. Contact the Class or DZERO.CO.UK for more information
